SWITCHBOARDS

Switchboards are used to transmit electricity from one source to another.  Switchboards allow the current to be divided into smaller currents for further electric distribution. Switchboards include various devices such as fusible switches, or circuit breakers to feed smaller loads of electrical currents.  ABB and GE has a large offering of switchboards that are used in industries such as Healthcare, Industrial, Mining, Oil & Gas, Data Center, and Telecom.  With switchboard offerings such as group mounted, generator connection, individually mounted, and metering, ABB and GE's switchboard portfolio has the product for your switchboard application needs.   Learn more

SWITCHES-DISCONNECTS

Safety switches are available in 30-1200 amps, 600 Vac, 600 Vdc maximum, fusible and non-fusible units, and in NEMA Type 1 (indoor), Type 3R (outdoor), Type 4/4X (water and dust-tight, corrosion resistant), and Type 5/12 (drip and dust-tight) enclosures. When used with Class R or J fuses, 30-600 amp switches have a UL Listed short-circuit rating of 200,000 rms symmetrical amps. Switches rated 800-1200 amps use Class L fuses and have a UL Listed short circuit rating of 100,000 rms symmetrical amps. Heavy duty safety switches are UL Listed as service entrance equipment when installed in accordance with the National Learn more

BUSWAY

Spectra* Series busway is at least 50% lighter than comparable wire and conduit - and lighter than competitors' busway, too. This simplifies design, reduces installation time and may lower your total installed cost by up to 75% versus wire and conduit. The compact Spectra Series also allows runs in more places, such as around and between existing structures. Removable isolation joints mean maintenance and modification are done easily and with minimal downtime, which may lower your operational costs versus wire and conduit as your building needs change. Lighter, smaller, lower cost, easier modification. NEMA defines a busway as  a prefabricated electrical distribution system consisting of bus bars in a protective enclosure, including straight lengths, fittings, devices and accessories. Learn more

MOTOR CONTROL CENTERS

ABB’s low and medium voltage motor control centers (MCCs) are designed and manufactured for use in demanding applications in markets such as pulp and paper, mining and metals, utility, chemical, oil and gas, mass-production manufacturing, and water & wastewater. These MCCs offer application flexibility while adhering to the most stringent industry standards Learn more
